Elim Lodge and the Environment

We live in one of the most beautiful and undeveloped areas of England. Like all areas, however, it is under threat, and we want to preserve it for future generations, whilst ensuring continued sustainable communities. To this end, we are active in the Cumbria Green Business Forum.  This was set up by a group of us to provide local businesses with access to information, to share environmental best practice, and lobby for improvements in local infrastructure and policies. Elim Lodge's environmental performance has been audited by the Green Tourism Business Scheme, achieving a Silver award, and we are proud to be members of Nurture Lakeland, raising funds to aid conservation

The Green Movement can get a little theoretical at times, and this is a barrier to more people talking action. We put together a very simple series of "How to" videos, to show how to reduce energy and resource use, including Elim Lodge on water conservation.
